How To Remove Date StampsAre you in the process of scanning your old photos into the computer? One problem you may have come across is the irritating little date stamp that you see in the lower right corner. How do you remove that?Well, it turns out you have two good options. One way is to just crop that part of the picture away. You can use the Crop Tool in you photo editor and get the job done easily. The other option is to use the Clone Tool in your photo editor. Set the size of the brush to about 30 pixels. Then go near the spot where the date is a just paint away. The date will magically be replaced by the surrounding colours in the photo. The last point to note here is that you may still want to retain the date of the photo. This is best done by going into the metadata tagged to the photo and change the 'Date Picture Taken' field. Most photo editors will have tools for doing this as well.
Cool Site of The WeekCalifornia Museum of PhotographyIf you've always wanted to view photos taken by the masters, you will do well to visit the California Museum of Photography. In this website, you can search for famous photos taken by masters like Ansel Adams and see how they frame and compose their pictures. Just sitting down for 30 min and viewing those pictures showed me a lot about how the pros really do it. Great stuff and definitely worth exploring.
