Tip of The Week

Here's a little trick that professional photographers love to use. What you need is a tripod and maybe a challenging scene that has tricky lighting conditions.

When you have a tripod, remember that you can take the exact same picture many times over. You can use this fact to your advantage. If the scene is very tricky to take due to lighting - simply take two photos. One should be overexposed, the other underexposed.

Pop over to the computer and merge the two images into your favorite image editor. You will find a much improved picture as a result. Granted, this technique borders a little on 'cheating' but if you really need to get a good shot of a scene, this approach may be worth the effort.
