Tip of The Week

Have you ever had difficulty focusing your camera? It's useful to understand some of the most difficult focusing scenarios so you can learn to adjust your technique. Two of the most problematic focusing situations are low contrast and low light environments.

In a low contrast setting, your camera can be confused because depth is more difficult to determine. The solution is to zoom in or move in closer to your subject.

In a low light setting, you will usually have to use longer shutter speeds. In such cases, watch out for blur that may arise from camera shake. Using a tripod is recommended.

Cool Site of The Week

Kodak.com
Kodak has an excellent website which features some great tutorials on digital photography. On the site, you can read about taking, printing, sharing and enhancing photos. I really like the section on photo stories where people share their experiences through pictures. It's a great site - bookmark it now!
